| Someone is definitely bored with the BO figures |
For yet another time direct comparisons between this weekend and the
previous one would be useless as the latest included five days in view
of the fact that 1 May was a public holiday. In contrast, the weekend
before that included a Saturday which was a working day. So as the
statistics does not care to differentiate that, you should not be surprised
by the minor declines or the growth registered by the titles in the
chart.
At #1 proving that Bulgarians are among the biggest fans of Jason Statham, his latest vehicle Safe arrives with BGN 87,743. In comparison, Killer Elite debuted with BGN 89,133 (for three days) in October last year.
Another new entry can be found at #6. Bel Ami enters the chart with BGN 22,484, which is not spectacular but having in mind how such movies typically bomb here, it's not that bad after all.
At #13 debuts a strange European animation movie. The Christmas-themed but released in the extremely hot spring Niko and The Way to The Stars collects just BGN 5,108 from 6 screens. Great timing guys!

This week the top ten is left by Cabin In The Woods - the horror movie has taken BGN 46,997 - not bad for its genre and limited distribution. The Cold Light Of Day is also out with BGN 86,455 - underwhelming having in mind that Bruce Willis is on the posters.
Compared to my last week's projections Bel Ami came on target with my BGN 26,000 prediction, while Safe managed to double my forecast of BGN 47,000.
