Американски пай: Отново заедно / American Reunion - Believe it or not, nine years after American Wedding, the guys and girls of American Pie come back with a bang. The fourth instalment (direct-to-DVD flicks not included) feels fresh and funny, and manages to find the balance of outrageous humour and sweet nostalgia. Yes, many will be shocked by some too graphic scenes but that's the film which put a male organ in a pie after all. At the same time, many, especially those who are at the age of the characters, will find the script extremely resonating with them, with some of the observations on today's youth and on adulthood quite spot-on. Their latest effort in the field of clay motion-capture is extremely funny, has lovable characters, memorable lines and even more memorable monkey. Some history purists will be furious (Queen Victoria with extremely dubious hobbies? Darwin as a little prick?), but the main heroes are so lovable and well-intended, that you'd be bought at once. Did I say that the story revolves around a dodo? It's British, it's absurd and it's pure Aardman. (Alexandra) ****

The picture has not lost its power even 14 years after its release and though many will not be tempted by the idea to pour more cash in the pockets of Jim Cameron, Titanic continues to strike with its story of ill-fated lovers and even more ill-fated voyage.
