German chart comments - Issue date - 6.05.2011

No changes on the summit of the German singles chart, where J.Lo. stands for a fourth week in a row. Runner-up is once again Snoop Dogg and his David Guetta collaboration, while Sunrise Avenue move up one and enter the top three for yet another round.

Further down the top ten, we have Usher making another peak, as his excellent "More" rises to #7. It is now only two positions short to reach the #5 of "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love", one of Usher's biggest singles in Germany.

The highest new entry belongs to Pitbull, who can be found at every second record this spring. Apart from being #1 with Jennifer Lopez, the US star has managed to bring his new single "Give Me Everything" at #11. Pitbull is so famous currently that his latest single, which features Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, doesn't need a video to already be huge all over the world. By entering at #11 "Give Me Everything" becomes the singer's second most successful single in Germany as a lead artist, with the #8 peak of "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" still within reach for the coming weeks.
At #19 German hip hop shows some signs of still being alive and kicking as rapper Bushido brings "Vergiss Mich" to the countdown. Last year Bushido was in the top 100 with his soccer song "Fackeln im Wind", which reached #6. "Vergiss Mich" marks the release of Bushido's newest album under the name of "Jenseits von Gut und Böse".
In the top 30, new peak positions worth noting are the #18 place of Jupiter Jones and "Still", as well as the #23 of Adele's "Set Fire To The Rain", which continues its amazing rise towards the upper reaches of the chart. All we need now is a video!

Two ladies join the top 40 with new offerings this week. At #33, Colbie Caillat sings her "I Do", while Kesha's "Blow" stumbles at #39. Colbie has had only three songs charting in Germany so far, among them "Bubbly" peaked at #10 and "Fallin' For You" at #16. Unlike UK and USA, Kesha has struggled to have a considerable success with the singles released from her "Cannibal" album, after "We R Who We R" reached #23 and "Blow" doesn't even scratch the top 30 this time around.
A special mentioning also to DJ Antoine vs. Timati and their "Welcome to St. Tropez" which this week makes a strong leap to #41 from #58, slowly turning into one of the most popular dance anthems currently.

And believe it or not, we are out of any more new entries this week...

The Album Chart

Despite strong sales, it seems that it would be tough for Herbert Groenemeyer to stay long at number one as he once again loses the crown, this time to Adele's record-breaking "21". The highest new entry and the only one for the top 20 belongs to schlager duo Ute Freudenberg and Christian Lais, which debuts at #14 with
"Ungeteilt".
