Мадагаскар 3/ Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted - Who'd have thought that after two mediocre entries, the third instalment of Madagascar will come so fresh, ridiculous (in the positive way) and most crucially of all - extremely funny. The credit should go to the decision to use Europe as a setting, which injects the title with much needed freshness, contrary to the dryness of the Africa locations before. Even more, to have our reluctant heroes join the circus, where we meet great new characters - from the Russian tiger with self-esteem issues to the ugly bear who doesn't talk but manages to put a spell on someone from the gang - is also a spot-on choice on behalf of the writers. In addition, the movie is full of astonishing colours and manages to get use of the 3D dimension perfectly. The gags rain heavily through the entire running time, driven by either the penguins and their monkeys or the strange chemistry between Alex and co. The best, however, is the antagonist - zoo detective Captain Chantel DuBois, who is simply unstoppable. It's rare to see so determined and driven pure evil in a kids' film. Now after this, Kung Fu Panda and Puss In Boots, Pixar may have trouble sleeping... (Forum Film) ****

Снежанка и Ловецът / Snow White And The Huntsman - Despite the awful quality of the screening (Cinema City Sofia - Hall 8!), the movie has splendid visuals. On top of that Charlize Theron is perfect in the role of the villain. From there, however, all is thrown to waste by the totally miscast Kristen Stewart and a plot going nowhere. Please get rid of the Twilight chick for the inevitable sequel. *** (Forum Film)
