Monday

Pharmaceuticals producer Sanochemia Pharmazeutika said it had teamed up with German CS Diagnostics for the distribution of radiology products. Thus, the Austrian company expects to have a better access to doctors and patients in Germany.

Vaccine developer Intercell expects to be back to profit in 2014, CEO Thomas Lingelbach told Wirtschaftsblatt. The company projects a loss of between EUR 30m and EUR 40m for 2011. Intercell continues searching for a strategic partner, the manager added. 

Tuesday

The gas combined heat and power plant Mellach of Verbund has started test operations for the delivery of district heating to the city of Graz, the company said Tuesday. The official opening of the plant will take place in the second quarter of the year.
Wednesday

Austrian Teak Holz International said its EBIT grew to EUR 1.74m in the first quarter of fiscal 2011/12 from EUR 0.75m a year earlier. Revenues remained at a low level, or at EUR 90,000.

Austrian construction company Porr said it had decided to merge its development activities in a single unit. The new company will be named Strauss & Partner Development. 

Thursday

Austrian catering company DO & CO said its revenues grew 9.5% to EUR 361.8m in the first nine months of fiscal 2011/12. The net profit increased 45% to EUR 14.9m. DO & CO continues to expect volatile market conditions in the future.

Car parts producer Miba considers the issue of a bond worth up to EUR 75m. The bond will have maturity of up to seven years.
 
Friday

Austrian champagne producer Schlumberger said its sales went up 0.3% to EUR 187.3m in the first nine months of fiscal 2011/12. Earnings grew 9.5% to EUR 2.25m. The company added it will continue to focus on its core activities and expansion of its exports.

Bank für Tirol und Vorarlberg (BTV), part of the Drei-Banke Gruppe, said it ended 2011 with a net profit of EUR 53.5m, up 8.9% year-on-year. The total assets rose 3.9% to a record-high of EUR 9.2bn.

Construction group Strabag has received a new order from Tansania. The company will build a bus transport system in the country's capital.

Montanwerke Brixlegg, the copper producing unit of insolvent A-Tec, was sold to Swiss Umcor. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Austrian software developer Fabasoft said its revenues increased to EUR 17.5m in the first three quarters of 2011/12, up from EUR 15.7m a year earlier. The company posted EBIT of EUR 0.6m, compared to a loss of EUR 0.3m.
