Austrian economic news in a flash - December 20

HTP High Tech Plastics, part of the HTP group, will deliver in the next years interior parts for the Porsche Cayenne. This will provide between 5% and 6% of the annual sales at the Styrian site of Fohnsdorf, the company said.

Builder Porr said it has agreed to fully acquire Viennese Teerag-Asdag by taking the shares of the city's holding, Wiener Stadtwerke, in it. So far Porr has owned around 52% in the sector company.

Eduard Zehetner, CEO of real estate company Immofinanz, said he expects a positive development for fiscal 2010/11. In addition, the company intends to issue a new convertible bond of between EUR 500m and EUR 600m by April next year.
*Steel specialist Voestalpine said it has secured a EUR 100m order from Daimler Trucks. The five-year contract concerns the delivery of axis parts.

The parcel delivery business of Austrian Post AG grew by 12% to 56m in 2010. Around 96% of the deliveries were made on time, the company said.

German Beiersdorf has sold its brands Juvena and Marlies Möller to Austrian Troll Cosmetics GmbH. The divestment was due to the fact that the brands do not correspond to the company's global presence plans.

Herbert Kaufmann, who was dismissed as CEO of Vienna Airport, will become head of the supervisory boards of the company's subsidiaries in Malta and Kosice, Standard reported. He will also join the supervisors of the Friedrichshafen airport.

The number of used vehicle registrations in Austria rose 5% on the year to 72,010 in November, Statistik Austria said. In a monthly comparison, the number fell 2.9%.

Austria's Industrial Producer Price Index rose 4% on the year to 110.5 points in October 2010, Statistik Austria reported. It was boosted by the growth in prices for intermediate goods and of energy prices.
