Vaccine developer Intercell said its vaccine candidate against Travelers' Diarrhea has failed and the company will cease further development on the project. Therefore, Intercell projects its expected EUR 40m net loss for full 2010 to be considerably higher. The company plans to reduce its R&D costs for 2011 by 40% year-on-year.

Fibre producer Lenzing said it plans to pour about EUR 285m in the expansion of its capacity. By 2014 Lenzing plans to boost its capacity by around 25% from 700,000 tonnes currently.

The number of new vehicle registrations in Austria grew 10% to 32,936 for November 2010. New passenger cars registrations rose 9.4% to 28,024.
