Rihanna stays for a second week on top with her "Diamonds", while Psy's former number one "Gangnam Style" sticks to the runner-up slot. Another ex-chart topper, Adele's "Skyfall" moves up one to #3.

It may be out of season, but that doesn't stop Klangkarussell's "Sonnentanz" to advance further and this week to peak at #5, up from #9. At the same time, Flo Rida has his sixth top ten single with "I Cry", up one to #10. Thus, all official singles of Flo Rida's "Wild Ones" album have reached the first ten in Germany.

Also moving in the right direction this week are Bruno Mars' "Locked Out Of Heaven", up two to #12, Silbermond's "Ja", up five to #13, and Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire", up 12 to #15. It's Alicia's fifth top 20 single in the country. Emeli Sandé's "Read All About It (Part III)" is also on the rise, up four to #17, while Cro's "Einmal um die Welt" enters the first 20 at #20, up by 10 notches.

The highest new entry comes from rock veterans Die Ärzte. "Ist das noch Punkrock?" is the third single taken from the guys' "Auch" album and is the third to enter the top 20 after "M&F" peaked at #13.

The rise of Usher's "Numb" continues for yet another week as the single advances to #30 from #48.
Three positions below the US star enters the second new song of the week. Veteran German band Pur brings yet another single in the countdown as "Der bestmögliche Versuch" debuts at #33. The first single of Pur on record in the charts is 1991's "Lena", while last they were here with 2009's "Irgendwo" (peak #26).

Australian singer Lenka already had a minor hit in 2009 with "The Show" (peak #23), which I've totally forgotten, and now is back with the new "Everything At Once" at #39. The song benefits of course from its inclusion in the latest Microsoft adverts.

At #40 we have a re-entry and a new peak position of Jessie J's "Nobody's Perfect", while the girl power continues at #41 with the follow-up of Loreen's summer smash "Euphoria". It's very rare to see any of the Eurovision winners managing to score more than one top 50 hits, so the appearance of "My Heart Is Refusing Me" may be considered of some sort of success.

Moses Pelham may be a huge name in the German music industry but he has had only two top 50 singles so far ("Twilight Zone" peak #27 from 1989 and "Hartreim Saga" peak #44 from 1998). This now changes as "Für die Ewigkeit" enters at #45.

Finally, it's good to see such legends as Joe Cocker still managing to have chart success. Thus, "Fire It Up" enters at #50. Cocker's first single in the Hitparade was the 1968 classic "With a Little Help from My Friends", while he was last in the list in 2007 with "Hymn for My Soul". Curiously though Joe Cocker's last single to manage to peak inside the top 50 was 1994's "The Simple Things" (peak #46).

89. Kelly Clarkson - Catch My Breath

The Album Chart
In the album chart, the second MTV Unplugged of Die Fantastischen Vier expectedly enters at #1. Curiously though the compilation has not produced any hit singles, which the last MTV Unpluggeds with German acts managed to do splendidly. The first Unplugged LP of Die Fantas peaked at #6 in 2000. Also new in the top ten are "Psychedelic Pill" of Neil Young & Crazy Horse at #4, "Red" of Taylor Swift at #5 and "Afterglow" of rock band Black Country Communion at #9.
