(There'll be no videos for now)
This week the top three remains intact as Rihanna's "Diamonds", Psy's
"Gangnam Style" and Adele's "Skyfall" occupy the positions one to three.
At
#4 Klangkarussell's "Sonnentanz" mark a new peak, up a notch, while
"Read All About It (Part III)" of Emeli Sande finally makes it in the
top ten, up from #14 to #7. It is thus the first single of Emeli inside
the top ten and also turns into one of the biggest songs in Germany not
officially released as a single.
Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire" is also
on the rise, and this time peaks at #9, up from #11, becoming the fifth top
ten single of the US R&B diva.
Just outside the top ten, Seeed's "Augenbling" is benefiting from a fresh video and moves up to #11 from #18.
The
highest new entry belongs to Icona Pop at #20. "I Love It" is the first
single of the Swedish star in the German charts and celebrates the
overall success of Swedish acts lately, next to that of Lykke Li, Loreen
and Lenka.
Following a cover performance on a TV casting show,
Sting's classic "Desert Rose" soars this week to #21 from #58. First
time around the song reached #7 in 2000.
It's also a new peak for Rea
Garvey's "Wild Love" at #32 (up from #34) and Taio Cruz' "Fast Car" at
#39 (up from #52). Between them we can find the second new entry coming
from local superstars Stefan Raab and Die Höhner. Apart from his TV
career, Stefan Raab has had a strong chart career, including several
#1s, while the legendary band from Cologne was last in the countdown
with "6 bis 8 Stunden Schlaf" from 2011 . "Ävver et Hätz bliev he in Kölle" enters at #38.
Further
down the chart, in its second week on the list local newcomer Chima
registers his second top 50 single as "Ausflug ins Blaue" soars to #40
from #79. Debut single "Morgen" peaked at #29 several months ago.
Also
new inside the first 50 is Ola's "I'm In Love", which moves up to #45
from #70. Ola, another Swedish singer, has been huge in his home country
over the past six years, while this is his first foray in Germany.
And
last but not least we should not omit that Lana Del Rey scores her fifth
top 50 single in Germany as "Ride" enters at #44. As the song is
completely new, it however still deserves to be among her bigger hits.
And the other new entries this week:
63. Mrs. Greenbird - Blitzkrieg Bob
67. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
80. Zedd feat. Matthew Koma - Spectrum
82. Birdy - People Help The People
83. R.E.M. - Everybody Hurts
85. Foo Fighters - Best Of You
89. One Direction - Little Things

The Album Chart
In
the LP chart The Rolling Stones have their eighth number one album with
the compilation "Grrr!", while One Direction take the runner-up slot
with sophomore effort "Take Me Home". The boys debut album peaked at
#16. Thus, Robbie Williams retreats to #3, while Green Day's second
album of the year "Dos" comes in at #4. Also new directly in the top ten
are Moses Pelham's "Geteiltes Leid 3" at #7 and Soundgarden's "King
Animal" at #10.
