Nothing can stop Michel Teló's "Ai se eu te pego!" to rule the German singles charts for a sixth week in a row. Therefore, the new material of heavyweights Unheilig manages to "only" conquer the runner-up slot. "So wie du warst" is the first song released from the new album ("Lichter der Stadt") of the rock band, whose previous LP "Große Freiheit" and lead single "Geboren um zu Leben" rank among the biggest sellers in the country in the new millennium. So the expectations for the new song have always been high and though I really doubt that it will manage to have the same longevity as "Geboren um zu Leben", it at least scores the same peak as that single in 2010.
The top three is wrapped up by Olly Murs' "Heart Skips A Beat", which rises two positions.
Inside the top ten, David Guetta's "Turn Me On" continues its uphill quest and goes up to #6 from #8.
The second highest new entry belongs to Jason Derulo. "Breathing" enters at #8 and despite being the third single taken from his "Future History" album, it scores higher than "Don't Wanna Go Home" (peak #11) and "It Girl" (peak #23). The single samples Bulgarian traditional song "Pilentze Pee", sung by the Bulgarian State Television Female Vocal Choir (Misteriyata na Bylgarskite glasove), so a moment of national proud here ;).
German electro-pop band MIA. should also be proud as after 16 years of existence the group manage to register their biggest hit to date. "Fallschirm", the first single of MIA.'s "Tacheles" album, enters new at #11 and beats the #19 peak of their most famous hit "Tanz der Moleküle" from 2006.
In another good news for German music, Deichkind this week have two top 20 singles as "Leider geil (Leider geil)" moves up to #17 from #25, while "Bück dich hoch" sticks to #12.
After two years of absence Swiss singer Stefanie Heinzmann returns to the countdown as her newest single "Diggin' In The Dirt" appears at #28. She had had better times before with "My Man Is a Mean Man" (peak #3); "The Unforgiven" (peak #10) and "Roots to Grow" (peak #16).
Caligola, the side project of Mando Diao's singer Björn Hans-Erik Dixgård, this week arrives with its first single in the German chart. "Forgive Forget" can be found at #30.
Kelly Clarkson may be enjoying good times with her latest single in the USA and UK, but the song struggles to make a significant mark on the German countdown as "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" enters new at #33.
"When We Stand Together", the last single of Nickelback, was a surprising hit in Germany (peak #6), despite being a flop elsewhere. Now, follow-up "Lullaby" also enters the top 50, though at #42.
The other new entries with videos:
#57 - Sons Of Midnight - The Fire
#76 - Santiano - Santiano
#79 - Fler & Silla - Bleib wach
#83 - Ben Howard - Keep Your Head Up
#91 - Bingo Players - Rattle
The Album Chart
The LP chart continues to be topped by Xavier Naidoo and his best of collection, while Adele is still at #2. Local band Santiano's "Bis ans Ende der Welt" goes up from #8 to #3. The special release of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" enters new at #4, while Austrian rapper RAF 3.0 brings his self-titled album at #7.
