It's once again that time of the year when all is still and quiet in the German charts, with all eyes towards the year-end countdowns. There, Michel Telo and Die Toten Hosen sit comfortably atop the singles and the albums lists, whose full glory you can check here and here.
Back to the weekly chart, Rihanna clocks up her tenth week on top with "Diamonds", followed by Psy at #2 and Pink at #3. Further down the top ten, will.i.am and Britney advance two positions to #8 in the second week of "Scream And Shout" in the countdown.

At #19 "Don't you worry child", the farewell single of Swedish House Mafia, finally makes it in the top 20, up from #29. At the same time, "Castle Of Glass", the latest from Linkin Park, moves up ten to #35.

Further down, Jeff Buckley's classic "Hallelujah" reappears at #38, enjoying the Internet era which allows the song to make a Top 100 impact just now.

The highest and only new entry in the top 50 is the second single of local rappers Kollegah & Farid Bang. "Drive-By" can be found at #41, while several weeks ago "Dynamit" peaked at #28.

Simultaneously with its climb in the US chart, "Thrift Shop" of Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Wanz goes in the top 50 of Germany as well and is this week at #46, up from #55.

In the album chart, only LPs of casting stars dare to enter the market post-Christmas, with Mrs. Greenbird, the winners of X Factor, storming the #1. The duo benefiting from its sound of new folk, which is so hot right now. At #11, the winner of Das Supertalent Jean-Michel Aweh comes in with "Raus Aus Dem Nebel", while Nick Howard, the winner of The Voice, brings the compilation "My Voice Story" at #34.
